Managing Director

The Company & Role

Our client is a thriving industrial products and services company that is looking to recruit a Managing Director to run their Yorkshire based business. The Managing Director will be involved with:

• Setting and delivering the overall strategic direction of the business
• Overseeing and directing the day-to-day performance of staff, including regularly meeting with fellow Directors to review the company’s operational performance, management and compliance
• Devising and delivering sales and business development strategy and approach to winning new business
• Setting and delivering a growth plan for the company
• Creating and delivering company initiatives to take advantage of market opportunities, reduce operational threats, forestall business risks and maximise core strengths
• Maintaining an unwavering commitment to health, safety, quality, sustainability and environmental objectives

The Managing Director will take full responsibility for the commercial performance of the company, ensuring the business is exceeding the budgeted contribution. Key KPI targets will include: EBITDA, Completing and closing out Onboarding requirements, Project/Fee Backlog, Utilisation and debtor days.

Background Needed

Suitable experience will entail:

• Proven track record of having successful budgetary & P&L responsibilities in previous roles
• Operations and Commercial Leadership – this could be a first time MD!
• Experience of successfully working with companies involved within industrial product and/or service provision, ideally Northern based businesses whereby people will have developed knowledge and networks across relevant customer regions
