As a Business Analyst, You Will

As a Business Analyst within Insurance Technology, you will be responsible for the delivery of business process analysis, requirements elicitation, management, and design across the software delivery lifecycle. We are specifically looking for someone with deep experience in policy administration and associated systems such as Guidewire PolicyCentre to support core platform transformations with our clients.

The following skills and experience are essential for this role:

  • Experience and knowledge about the end-to-end lifecycle of insurance policies, including quoting, underwriting, issuance, renewals, and billing.
  • Expertise in policy administration systems.
  • Experience of Guidewire Policy Centre (minimum 2 years).
  • London Markets insurance experience would be a distinct advantage.
  • Ability to confidently and effectively manage relationships and delivery across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Confident, accurate, and clear communication skills, comfortable with reporting upwards.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies.
  • Understanding and practical experience with either Agile or Waterfall delivery methodologies, and the flexibility to work in the appropriate methodology as needed.
  • Experience delivering business analysis and requirements management across the software delivery lifecycle, involving interaction with multiple teams such as product owners, project managers, technical resources, and business change.
  • Experience in requirements elicitation techniques like Observation, Interviews, Workshops, or Prototyping.
  • Data analysis skills to infer conclusions.
  • Experience in functional/solution design using techniques such as Design Thinking, UML, or BPMN.
  • Ability to understand business change needs, assess impacts, and document requirements effectively.
  • Proficiency with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Excel.

Set Yourself Apart

  • Experience leading BA teams and managing junior resources.
  • Proven experience in functional and non-functional analysis and design.
  • Experience working within complex, diverse delivery environments.
  • Certifications or credentials in industry-specific areas such as London Markets Insurance, Agile (SAFe, Scrum), Process Improvement (Lean Six Sigma), or Design Thinking.
