Job Description:

Purchase Ledger Clerk – Dudley – 26,000 to 28,000 – Office Based A new opportunity has come up for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a well-established business based in Dudley. This is a full-time, office-based role working alongside a supportive team, handling day-to-day purchase ledger duties in a busy finance function. You’ll be responsible for processing high volumes of invoices, managing supplier queries, reconciling statements, and supporting with payment runs. The business has an open, down-to-earth culture and a strong reputation locally. This would suit someone with experience in a similar transactional finance role who’s comfortable working at pace and enjoys getting stuck into the detail. Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately processing purchase invoices
  • Matching, batching and coding
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Dealing with queries and maintaining supplier relationships
  • Supporting weekly/monthly payment runs
  • Assisting with ad hoc finance admin as needed

Candidate Attributes and Skills:

  • Previous experience in purchase ledger/accounts payable
  • Confident working with high volumes and tight deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable using Excel and finance systems
  • Friendly, team-focused attitude
