Systems Engineer (Electrical/Mechanical)

About the Role:

As a Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in the full lifecycle of complex engineering projects — from concept and requirements development through to integration, verification, and validation. Working across a range of sectors including aerospace, defence, transportation, and energy, you will deliver robust, high-integrity system solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and manage system requirements across the project lifecycle.
  • Develop system architectures and specifications.
  • Perform system modelling, analysis, and simulation to validate designs.
  • Lead integration, verification, and validation activities.
  • Support design reviews, risk assessments, and safety analyses.
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams including mechanical, electrical, software, and manufacturing engineers.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to ensure technical solutions meet operational needs.

About You:

  • Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering principles (e.g., V-Model, MBSE, Requirements Management).
  • Experience working in complex, regulated industries (defence, aerospace, transportation, energy, etc.).
  • Familiarity with tools such as DOORS, SysML, MATLAB/Simulink, or equivalent (desirable).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Eligible for UK security clearance (or already holding clearance is an advantage).
