Education

A university degree, ideally in communications, journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • At least five years’ experience in a corporate communications environment, either in-house or at an agency.
  • Exceptional written communication skills across various materials such as media releases, articles, briefing documents, reactive statements, social media copy, etc.
  • Strong news judgment to identify opportunities and sensitivities that could impact reputation.
  • Experience working with journalists and in crisis communications.
  • Experience advising subject matter experts on media interactions.
  • Experience collaborating with agencies (preferred).
  • Experience in finance or technology sectors is a plus but not essential.
  • Strong networking skills and ability to build trusted relationships internally and externally.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute communication strategies supporting company goals, with a focus on the EMEA region.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance Swift’s mission through communications.
  • Collaborate across teams to maximize impact of marketing collateral, events, and thought leadership.
  • Maintain and improve knowledge of Swift and its industry landscape.
  • Manage workload effectively, keeping stakeholders informed of progress.
  • Deliver high-quality work on time and seek continuous improvement.
