STOCK CONTROLLER, Harrods, LondonWe are looking for an experienced stock controller to join our first store opening in the UK. The Stock Controller is responsible for the levels of stock/items in store at the point of receiving deliveries to the retail sales floor, internal destinations or to final customers.

The concession will be located in one of the most luxurious department stores of the world, a key location for the brand in this expansion phase. The stock controller will also be responsible for building strong relationships within the department store’s management and adhere to their guidelines.

The stock controller will be in charge for receiving, unpacking, processing, organizing, storing, packaging, and labelling the stock. This includes accurately processing deliveries, claims, returns, transfers, special movements, damaged items, stolen items and loan items using correct systems and following company policies and procedures.Maintain ongoing and proactive communication with the key partners about new arrivals, order coverages and shortages and delivery delays.Help decrease store shrinkage by researching inventory, discrepancies and reporting suspicious activities to the store managementEnsure that ticketing is accurate and regularly checked (through deliveries and cycle counts).Support the sales team by providing information on stock availability, deliveries and transfers.Regularly review current stock situation in order to: maximize sales potential, propose stock offers to other stores, deal with slow mowing and/or damaged stock to be communicated on stock and quality issues with the Store Manager, ensure the yearly price change exercise, working together with the store management and métier ambassadors.Minimize the potential financial loss due to inaccurate ticketingOrganized, flexible and reliableExperience in coordinating inventory and related projectsFlexibility and willingness to work late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays, when needed
