EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEERFull Time. Based: Harwell with the opportunity for flexible home working 1-2 days a week.

To lead the delivery of electronics projects at OPD and strategically develop OPD’s firmware and hardware design and development offerings to our clients.

We’re looking for an experienced embedded software engineer who is confident in delivering technically complex projects and managing firmware and hardware development from concept to production.

Manage the delivery of all electronics and embedded software componentsDevelop proposals that accurately reflect the scope and requirements of hardware projects, including timelines, deliverables and budgetsLead the technical direction of hardware developments on a wide range of projectsManage subcontractor resources and relationships required for specialist development tasksProven track record of successfully managing hardware projects to completion~ Degree in Electronics or Electrical Engineering~ A background in product design and/or engineering, ideally including the development of diagnostic medical devicesAt Oxford Product Design (OPD) we’re on a mission to make things better. The collaborative nature of this role means that you will be expected to be in the office at minimum three days a week, but there is the opportunity to work flexibly from home as and when this fits with project delivery requirements.
