About Us

The School of Cardiovascular and Metabolic Medicine & Sciences (SCMMS), is one of six schools in the Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine (FoLSM) at King’s College London. The School drives translation of world-leading basic science into advances in clinical practice in vascular, cardiac and metabolic medicine.  As part of King’s Health Partners, we have an excellent environment for translational research and a strong focus on mentoring and career development. The School hosts the British Heart Foundation Centre of Research Excellence at King\’s, which brings together a unique range of internationally recognised scientists and clinicians from across the School and King’s College London. Allied to this is one of the largest vascular surgical units in the UK with a high volume of both endovascular and open aortic procedures.  

About the role

The Academic Department of Vascular Surgery seeks to appoint an enthusiastic Clinical Research Fellow to join our team at St Thomas’ Hospital. The postholder will conduct a period of original research, leading to a MD or PhD.

 

The postholder will conduct all aspects of designated research projects, including obtaining of regulatory approvals, patient recruitment, data collection and analysis, database management and dissemination of results.

 

They will collaborate with members of the research group and others within and external to KCL and provide periodic updates to (and discuss project progress with) supervisors.

 

This is a full-time post (40 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 31/07/27.
