About the Role
Our client is a well-established steel fabrication business with over 20 years of experience delivering bespoke steelwork solutions across a variety of sectors. Their projects range from structural steel frames and staircases to architectural balustrades, bridges, and specialist handling equipment.
They are now looking for a skilled Tekla Draughtsman to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a broad range of projects where no two days are the same.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce accurate 3D models and detailed fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures
- Generate GA drawings, assembly drawings, and part lists for manufacture and site use
- Interpret architectural and structural drawings to create workable detailing solutions
- Contribute to projects such as balustrades, staircases, structural frames, bridges, and bespoke fabrications
- Liaise with engineers, fabricators, and project managers to ensure smooth workflow from design to installation
- Conduct occasional site visits/surveys when required
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and client specifications
What We’re Looking For
✅ Proficient in Tekla Structures (essential)
✅ Experience detailing a variety of steelwork, especially architectural and structural elements
✅ Able to interpret and work from technical drawings
✅ Solid understanding of fabrication and installation processes
✅ Strong attention to detail and time management
✅ Effective communicator and team player
