Job Description:
My client, a leading housebuilder, is looking for an additional lawyer to join their group legal function. Reporting into the Group General Counsel, the role will be generalist in nature with the successful candidate having to turn their hand to a variety of group legal matters. This will include drafting and negotiating a wide range of commercial and construction agreements, and advising on general corporate, disputes, employment, and other ad-hoc matters.
The successful candidate will have at least three years’ post-qualified experience gained within a commercial contracts or corporate practice. Construction experience, whilst not a pre-requisite, is beneficial. What is crucial is a willingness to diversify and take on a truly generalist in-house role.
This is a growth role in a small and collaborative legal team. The position offers hybrid working but a need to spend two days a week in one of their offices in Doncaster, Leeds, Sheffield, or Northampton.
