Finance Director

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Director based in Bedford for one of our clients on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities of the Finance Director

• Operational line management of the finance function.
• Prepare and submit audited statutory consolidated accounts.
• Provide professional leadership and management of financial services across sites.
• Financial reporting and monitoring, including payroll, staff pensions and supply costs.
• Budget preparation.
• Management accounts and financial statements.
• Preparation of year-end.
• Review cash flow.
• Internal and external audit services.
• Research and bid for additional funding.
• Oversee VAT compliance.
• Contribute to the development and review of a 3-year strategic business plan.

Requirements For a Successful Finance Director

• CIMA or other relevant CCAB qualified.
• Previous progressive financial leadership experience.
• Budget management and forecasting experience.
• Experience leading a successful finance team.
• Excellent working knowledge of public finances, procedures, practice and regulations.
• Strong Excel skills.
• Complex budget and financial planning modelling.
• Commercially astute.
