Mpeople Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced and dedicated Sales Executive with Road Freight experience, on behalf of our client who are reputable and well-established logistics business based in Eccles (M30).
- Hours of work: 9am – 5.30pm, Monday to Friday (some flexibility may be possible)
- Salary: £25,000 – £32,000 dependent on experience

The Sales Executive will be responsible for generating revenue for the business through growing and/or establishing working relationships with existing customers, lapsed customers and new business customers.Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Generating new opportunities for group / branch through telesales and spot quoting
- Provide customers with accurate and cost-effective quotations in writing and follow up verbally to maximise conversions
- Existing client base engagement
- Identifying and converting new business and cross selling opportunities
- Regaining business from lapsed customers
- Recording of sales activity in companies CRM system
- Support acquisition of new business by way of a consistent presence, structured & targeted actions and follow up
- Promote and develop services within a defined branch /requirement
- Maintain appropriate knowledge of the competition and marketplace
- Any other tasks deemed commensurate with the role
The required traits, skills, and background:
- A minimum of 12 months of experience working within the Road Freight sector, within an office-based role
- Sales experience is essential, and sales experience within Road Freight would be advantageous
- Self-motivated, tenacious, and driven
- Good communication, rapport-building & negotiation skills
- Competent systems user
- Helpful team-player, but can also work well independently
