About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Stoke-on-Trent.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of CNC machinery, with a particular focus on DMG Mori and Doosan machines.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced maintenance engineer looking for flexibility in contract type, with opportunities for progression to a permanent role based on performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on CNC machines, particularly DMG Mori and Doosan models.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults in CNC machinery.
- Conduct tooling maintenance and servicing to ensure optimal machine performance.
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and ensure smooth operational flow.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance work carried out and parts used.
- Adhere to health and safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
- Collaborate with external service providers when specialist support is required.
- Assist in continuous improvement projects to enhance machine efficiency and reliability.
Key Requirements:
- Proven experience as a CNC Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Strong working knowledge of DMG Mori and Doosan CNC machines would be advantageous but not essential.
- Experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
