The Plan A team is growing and we are looking for a proactive and eager Marketing and Bid Assistant to join our operations team in the London office.

About Plan A:

We are a specialist design management consultancy based in London. We provide design management services to support and guide many of the world’s best architects and designers through the design stages of a project. These include Bjarke Ingels Group, David Chipperfield Architects, Snøhetta and RSHP.

Role Summary:

Support the Marketing and Bid Manager with marketing initiatives and bid coordination. You will play a key role in preparing bids and other communication material, research, maintaining our databases, and assisting with various associated coordination and administrative tasks.

This is a great opportunity for someone either starting or in the early part of their career in Marketing / Bids. Whilst some relevant experience is helpful, we provide training and growth opportunities.

Location and type:

London, UK. This is a permanent, full-time position, working on a 4:1 flexible working schedule.

Responsible for:

  1. Support with communications, both internal and external, that raise Plan A’s profile.
  2. Prepare high-quality bid documentation.
  3. Coordinate and produce fee proposals, liaising with senior team members to obtain relevant information in a timely manner.
  4. Prepare Plan A CVs, ensuring they are accurate, tailored to each bid and delivered on time.
  5. Assist in creating and maintaining marketing materials, both internal and external.
  6. Assist with preparing communications material, including project profiles, company profiles, capability statements, client presentations, etc.
  7. Assist with website updates, social media campaigns and communication channels.
  8. Support the Marketing & Bid Manager in communicating with clients and third parties regarding bids and other marketing activities.
  9. Provide support to achieve objectives and business-related KPIs related to bids and marketing.
  10. Collaborate internally to gather all necessary information to ensure that high-quality proposals and submissions reach clients within deadlines.
  11. Assist with maintaining bid-related tools, CRM database, files and documentation.
  12. Support with conducting research to understand our clients’ needs, project scope and other information to strengthen our bid strategy.
  13. Support with award submissions relevant to Plan A.
  14. Support with administration as required to ensure our files, systems and databases are accurate and up-to-date.
  15. Assist in organising client events and activities.

  6. Enthusiasm to develop a robust understanding of how Plan A support Architects and Designers with specialist Design Management.

Core Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Architecture or a related field.
  2. Previous experience in a similar role (eg. Bid Assistant, Marketing Assistant) within a design / construction environment is desirable but not essential.
  3. Detailed knowledge of InDesign is essential / Basic skills in Photoshop is desirable.
