Firmware Engineer – Power Electronics (EV Charging Innovation)

Location: Cork, Ireland or Central London

Your Mission:

As a Firmware Engineer specializing in Power Electronics, you’ll be at the heart of our innovation. You’ll design and develop the embedded firmware that powers our next-generation EV chargers, directly impacting the performance and reliability of our solutions.

What You’ll Do:

1. Craft and refine embedded firmware for power electronics systems in our EV chargers.
2. Bridge the gap between hardware and software, ensuring seamless system integration.
3. Implement advanced control algorithms for real-time power management.
4. Optimize firmware for peak performance, uncompromising safety, and maximum energy efficiency.
5. Lead debugging, validation, and comprehensive system testing.
6. Collaborate with diverse teams to define and deliver on firmware requirements.

Your Expertise:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
2. Proven track record in embedded firmware development using C/C++.
3. Deep understanding of power electronics and control systems.
4. Experience with microcontrollers, DSPs, or ARM architectures.
5. Familiarity with RTOS and communication protocols (CAN, Modbus, Ethernet).
6. Bonus: Knowledge of EV charging, renewable energy, or cybersecurity for embedded systems.
