Job Overview:

The Group Reporting Manager will play a critical role in overseeing and managing the group reporting process, ensuring timely, accurate, and consistent financial reporting across the business. This individual will lead a small team of three and work closely with senior leadership, providing insights and analysis to support decision-making at the group level.

The role requires a strong background in financial reporting, leadership, and a deep understanding of the consumer goods sector. As a key member of the finance team, you will ensure compliance with financial regulations, group accounting policies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of financial reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Lead and mentor a team of 3 finance professionals, ensuring clear goals and objectives are set, performance is managed, and team development is supported.
  • Group Reporting: Oversee and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual group reporting process, ensuring accurate consolidation of financial statements for the group and subsidiaries.
  • Financial Analysis & Insight: Provide detailed financial analysis and commentary on the group’s financial performance, including variances, trends, and key business drivers.
  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards (e.g., IFRS) and internal controls, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for continuous improvement within the reporting process, streamlining workflows and implementing best practices for efficiency and accuracy.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with senior finance and operational leadership to provide actionable insights, advise on financial performance, and address any reporting challenges.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Lead and support various finance-related projects, including financial systems upgrades, process optimizations, and other initiatives that drive efficiency.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in group reporting or financial management, ideally within a consumer goods or fast-paced multinational environment. Experience managing and developing a small team.

Qualifications:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
  • Skills:
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and group reporting standards.
  • Proficient in financial consolidation and reporting systems (e.g., Hyperion, SAP, or similar).
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills.
  • Personal Attributes:
  • Strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
